家具販売大手のイケアが国内で初めて自動化した倉庫を公開しました。　
Furniture giant IKEA announced Japan's first automated warehouse.
千葉県船橋市にあるイケアの倉庫では、黒いロボットが商品の入った箱をピックアップして作業スペースに運びます。　
At IKEA's warehouse in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, a black robot picks up boxes of products and brings them to the workspace.
作業員は箱から必要な分の商品を取り出し、発送作業を行います。　
The worker takes out the required amount of product from the boxes and does the shipping.
これまで作業員が店舗や倉庫を歩き周り商品を1つずつ集めていたのを自動化したほか、関東での小物類の配送作業を1カ所にまとめることで作業効率を約8倍高めたとしています。

また、この倉庫では酸素濃度を低く設定し、火災が起きにくいようにしているということです。
