エジプトで約4600年前に造られた「太陽の船」を新しい博物館へと移送する大規模なプロジェクトが実施されました。　
A large-scale project was carried out in Egypt to transfer the "Ship of the Sun" built about 4600 years ago to a new museum.
「太陽の船」は約4600年前のエジプト古王国時代に造られたもので、全長は42メートル、重さが20トンあります。　
The "Ship of the Sun" was built in the Ancient Kingdom of Egypt about 4,600 years ago, is 42 meters long and weighs 20 tons.
クフ王が死後に空を移動するために埋葬されたと考えられています。　
It is thought that the ship was buried so that King Khufu could move through the sky after his death.
1954年にクフ王のピラミッド近くで発掘され、近くの施設で展示されてきましたが、環境の整った新しい博物館に移されることになりました。　
The ship was excavated near King Khufu's Pyramid in 1954 and put on display at a nearby facility, it will be moved to a new museum with a better environment.
移送は約10時間かけて行われ、保護のため振動を吸収する特別な車が使われました。　
The move took about 10 hours and a special vehicle was used to avoid shaking and protect the ship.
今回の移送の責任者は「最も挑戦的なプロジェクトだった」とコメントしています。
The person responsible for this transfer commented, "It was the most challenging project."
「太陽の船」は日本の支援で建設中の「大エジプト博物館」で展示される予定です。
The "Ship of the Sun" will be exhibited at the "Great Egyptian Museum" which is being built with Japanese support.
