21日に発売されたのは高級ミニバンの「アルファード」と「ヴェルファイア」の新型車です。
フルモデルチェンジは8年ぶりで、設計などの改良で振動や騒音をこれまでの3分の1に押さえました。
後部座席の快適性にこだわり、2、3列目の間の空間を広く確保しています。
最上級グレードのモデルには、アームレストに照明やリクライニングの調整などが操作できる小型の端末も装備しました。
新型コロナによって車移動の利点が見直されていて、高級ミニバン市場ではハイヤーなどビジネスでの需要が高まっています。
今後はプラグインハイブリッドタイプの発売も予定しているということです。
