郵便局では元日の配達に向けて年賀状の仕分け作業がピークを迎えています。
東京・新宿の郵便局ではおよそ150人のスタッフが1人あたり、1時間1800通のペースで仕分け作業を進めます。
日本郵便によりますと、27日までに全国で引き受けた年賀はがきはおよそ6億2100万枚で、去年の同じ時期の9割ほどになっています。
SNSの普及などにより年賀はがきの発行枚数は12年連続で減少していて、
今年は機械による夜中の仕分け作業をなくすほか、新宿郵便局では短期アルバイトの人数をおよそ2割減らしたということです。
