高級食材「フォアグラ」として知られるアヒルの肝臓を形成する細胞から世界で初めて食べられる「培養フォアグラ」の開発に成功しました。　
The development of the world's first edible "cultured foie gras" from duck liver forming cells, called "foese liver", a luxury food ingredient, has been successful.

この培養フォアグラはミネラルやビタミンなど安全性が確認されている食品だけを使い、動物の体内に似た環境を作り出して細胞を増やす技術を活用しています。　
This cultured foie gras uses only foods that have been confirmed for safety, such as minerals and vitamins, as well as using technology to proliferate cells by creating an environment similar to an animal body.
培養肉の生産コストを押し上げる動物由来の血液成分を使用していないのも特徴です。
It is also characterized by the absence of blood components of animal origin which increases the cost of producing cultured meat.
開発を進める「インテグリカルチャー」は、今年中には毎月8キロの培養フォアグラを安定的に生産することを目指しています。　
The integrated process is under development, with the aim of stably producing 8 kg of farm-raised foie gras per month by the end of this year.
フォアグラは生産方法に動物虐待の疑いを指摘されていて、代替食材の開発を求める声が上がっています。
