日本百貨店協会によりますと、先月、全国の百貨店の既存店売上高は前の年の同じ月と比べて72.8％減少し、過去最大の落ち込みとなりました。
According to the Japan Department Store Association, net sales last month at existing department stores across the country decreased 72.8% compared to the same month last year, marking the biggest drop ever.
新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大の影響による臨時休業などが要因です。
The reason is due to suspension of business because the new strain of corona virus has spread widely.
さらに、今月18日時点での主要百貨店の売上高は約85％減少と厳しい状況が続いています。

日本百貨店協会は「今月後半の業績が徐々に回復していくことを期待したい」としています。
