農林水産省は製粉会社などに売り渡す輸入小麦の価格について来月以降、11％引き下げると発表しました。　
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced that the price of imported wheat sold to flour milling companies will decrease by 11% starting next month.
小麦は需要量の8割以上を海外から輸入していて、安定供給のため政府が一括購入して製粉会社などに売り渡しています。　
More than 80% of wheat demand is imported from abroad and to ensure a stable supply, the government buys wheat in bulk and sells it to flour milling companies.
価格は4月と10月に見直されていて、農水省によりますと、10月は4月からの半年間に比べて11.1％安い1トンあたり6万8240円になりました。　
Prices were reviewed in April and October, and according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the price in October was 68,240 yen/ton, 11.1% lower than six months from April.
値下げは2020年10月以来、3年ぶりです。　
This is the first price reduction in 3 years, since October 2020.
値下げの背景について農水省は、主要産地のアメリカの天候が小麦の生育に好条件であったことや中国などの輸送需要が減少したことによって海上運賃が下落したためとしています。
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries attributed the lower prices to favorable weather conditions in the US, large wheat growing areas and lower shipping demand from China and other countries, leading to a decrease in sea freight rates.

農林水産省は製粉会社などに売り渡す輸入小麦の価格について来月以降、11％引き下げると発表しました。
