WHO（世界保健機関）はコロンビアで確認された新型コロナウイルスの変異株「ミュー株」を新たに「注目すべき変異株」に分類しました。
WHOは31日、変異株のミュー株を新たに「注目すべき変異株」に分類したと明らかにしました。
ミュー株は1月にコロンビアで初めて確認され、現在コロンビア国内では39％を占めています。
また、他の南米諸国やヨーロッパでも確認されています。
ミュー株ではワクチンの効果を弱める恐れがある変異が起きているということです。
WHOはこれまで「デルタ株」など4種類を「懸念される変異株」とし、それに次ぐ段階として「ラムダ株」など4種類を「注目すべき変異株」に分類していました。
