東京医科歯科大学の高橋英彦主任教授らは、ギャンブル依存症の人と健康な人、合わせて161人の脳の画像をAIで分析したところ、
Professor Hidehiko Takahashi of Tokyo University of Medicine and Dentistry and colleagues used AI to analyze brain images of 161 people, including problem gamblers and healthy people
ギャンブルに依存している人にみられる特有のパターンを発見しました。
They discovered a unique pattern in problem gamblers.
「機能的MRIで高速で撮影するとパラパラ漫画みたいな感じで、時系列で脳の血流が時間とともに微妙に変わっていく」　
"When you take high-speed images with the MRI function, it looks like a flip book and the blood flow in the brain changes slightly over time."
ギャンブル依存症の人は自分が依存しているという認識が乏しく、ますますはまっていく傾向にあることから、客観的な診断を目指し、このシステムを開発したということです。　
This system was developed with the aim of objectively diagnosing people with gambling addiction, as they tend to become addicted to gambling because they are not aware that they are addicted.
高橋主任教授は健康な人と依存症の人の脳のパターンを数値化することで自分が依存症であると理解しやすくなり、治療へのモチベーションが高まるのではないかと話しています。
Professor Takahashi says that by quantifying the brain patterns of healthy people and addicts, it will be easier to understand that a person is addicted and motivation for treatment will increase.
