中国の習近平国家主席はEUのミシェル大統領やフォンデアライエン欧州委員長と会談し、電気自動車を巡る対立などを念頭に「競争があるからといって協力を減らしてはならない」と強調しました。　
Chinese President Xi Jinping met with EU President Michel and European Commission President Von der Leyen and stressed that “cooperation should not be reduced just because of competition,” noting the conflict over electric vehicles.
中国外務省によりますと、習主席は7日、北京で開かれた会談で中国とEUの関係は「良好な強化と発展の勢いを見せている」と指摘しました。
According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Xi Jinping pointed out during a meeting in Beijing on the 7th that the relationship between China and the EU is "showing good momentum of consolidation and development".
一方で「制度が違うからと言ってライバル視してはならず、競争があるからと言って協力を減らしてはならない」と強調しました。　
However, he emphasized that "It can be said that our systems are different, so we should not consider each other as competitors, nor should we reduce cooperation just because of competition."
EUでは、中国製の電気自動車が補助金を得て輸出競争力を高めているとして調査が始まっていて、こうした動きを念頭にした発言とみられます。　
In the EU, an investigation has begun into Chinese-made electric vehicles that are receiving subsidies to increase export competitiveness, and this appears to be a move that has been considered.
EU側は「意見の相違がある問題で意思疎通の強化を望む」なとど話したということです。　
The EU side said: "We hope to increase information exchange on issues where there are differences of opinion."
