日本の宇宙開発スタートアップ企業、「ispace」の月着陸船が今日未明、民間では世界初となる月面着陸に挑みましたが、終盤で通信が途絶え着陸の確認ができなくなりました。

ispaceの月着陸船は、今日未明、月の軌道上高度100キロメートルからエンジンを逆噴射させて減速し、1時間ほどかけて日本時間の午前1時40分ごろ月面に着陸する予定でした。

しかし終盤で通信が途絶え、予定時刻を過ぎても着陸を示すデータの確認に至りませんでした。

その後、推進燃料の推定残量がなくなったことなどから、月着陸船が月面へ激しくぶつかる形で着地した可能性が高いということです。
