誰が観音様のお酒を飲んだんだと言い合って、観音様を見てみると、なんと観音様の顔がほんのり赤く染まっていました
「観音様がお酒を飲まれたのか」この話が伝わって、前より多くの人が弥兵衛の家に集まるようになりました
「きっと弥兵衛の世話好きをみて観音様もお世話してもらいたい気になったに違いない」村人はそう言って、このお酒を飲む観音様をいつしか「御酒観音（おみきかんのん）」と 呼ぶようになりました
また、この御酒観音にお酒をお供えして分けてもらうと幸せになれるということです
